M8 & M12 Overmoulded Cable Assemblies

Applications

M8 and M12 Overmoulded Cable Assemblies are designed for reliable electrical connectivity in industrial automation, sensing, control and instrumentation applications. The overmoulded construction provides a secure connection between the connector and cable while protecting the cable-to-connector interface from mechanical stress and environmental exposure.

These assemblies are suitable for sensors, actuators, control systems and industrial equipment where compact, reliable and ready-to-install connectivity is required.

Construction

The cable assembly combines an industrial-grade M8 or M12 circular connector with a flexible multi-core cable. The connector-to-cable interface is securely overmoulded to provide mechanical reinforcement and protection against bending, pulling and routine industrial handling.

Assemblies are available with different contact configurations to accommodate a wide range of sensors, actuators and industrial equipment. Cable constructions can be supplied with bare or tinned copper conductors and shielded or unshielded configurations.

The cable jacket can be selected according to the application, including flexible PVC, PUR and Spatter Proof constructions. PUR options are suitable for applications requiring enhanced mechanical and environmental resistance, while Spatter Proof constructions are designed for environments exposed to hot particles and industrial spatter.
