Application

LIYY cables are lightweight, flexible and intended for the transmission of low-voltage signal, control, and data applications. They are especially effective in dry and damp locations, where size and high flexibility is important. Common applications include electronic control systems, office equipment, measuring instruments, and instrumentation (No heavy electrical interference present).

Technical Specifications

  • Fine-stranded bare copper wires (Generally to VDE 0295, Class 5 / IEC 60228)

  • 0.14 mm² = 18 x 0.1 mm.

  • 0.25 mm² = 14 x 0.15 mm.

  • 0.34 mm² = 19 x 0.15 mm.

  • 0.50 mm² = 16 x 0.19 mm.

  • 0.75 mm² = 24 x 0.19 mm.

  • 1.00 mm² = 32 x 0.19 mm

  • 1.50 mm² = 30 x 0.24 mm

  • Insulation: Special PVC core insulation TI2, to EN 50363-3.

  • Core Identification:Number-coded with or without a green/yellow earth wire (as per DIN 47100)

  • Stranding: Cores twisted in short lay lengths for flexibility and performance

  • Outer Sheath: Flame-retardant PVC, typically grey (RAL 7035)

  • Voltage Rating: 0.14 mm² = 350 V; >/= 0.25 mm² = 500 V

  • Test Voltage: 1500 V

  • Temperature Range:

  • Fixed installation: -30°C to +70°C

  • Flexing: -5°C to +70°C

  • Minimum Bending Radius: 7.5 × cable diameter (flexing),

  • 4 × Cable diameter (fixed)

  • Standards: Any National or International Standard (Generally to VDE 0812 / IEC 60228)

  • Flame Retardance: IEC 60332-1 / VDE 0482-332-1
